Design Matters is a Service-Learning, “S” designated course with three primary goals.

1) engaging OSU design university students and  Mackenzie University students with a community partner (i.e., a non-profit organization, a NGO) in hands-on, team-based projects to collaboratively and creatively address a community’s needs

​

2)  providing marginalized communities design services that contribute to  positive ‘social impact’

​

3) expanding University students design thinking to design doing through practical place-based learning, (i.e., “experiential learning”).
